Delete your LocalLink account

LocalLink users can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. This page explains how to make a deletion request, what information we need to verify the request, and what data may be deleted or retained.

How to request deletion

1. Email support@locallinkapp.co.uk from the email address used for your LocalLink account.
2. Use the subject line: LocalLink Account Deletion Request.
3. Tell us whether you are using LocalLink as a customer, business owner, or both.
4. We may ask for limited information to verify the request and protect your account from unauthorised deletion.

What data may be deleted

Where applicable, deletion may include:

• your LocalLink user account;
• profile information such as name and email address;
• customer profile data;
• business ownership links where appropriate;
• messages or support content where deletion is legally and technically possible;
• device tokens used for push notifications;
• non-essential app data associated with your account.

Data that may be retained

Some information may be retained temporarily or where required for legitimate reasons, including:

• booking records needed for customer or business dispute resolution;
• payment records required by payment processors, accounting rules or legal obligations;
• fraud-prevention and platform safety records;
• records needed to comply with tax, regulatory, legal or security requirements;
• anonymised or aggregated analytics that no longer identify a user.

Processing time

We aim to process valid account deletion requests within 30 days. Some requests may take longer if we need to verify account ownership, resolve an active booking, investigate fraud or comply with legal obligations.

Selective data deletion

If you want to request deletion of specific data without deleting your whole account, contact support@locallinkapp.co.uk. We will review the request and respond where technically and legally possible.
